Great Cerridwen ascends as the Hunter bows before her celestial path, and brooding Aos Si´ wander among pale standing stones on a clear Samhain night. Bathed and sanctified in silver moonlight, the witch raises an evergreen twig in greeting. Her bonfire warms her skin from the chill breeze of the coming winter as its light beckons her ancestors across the misty veil. One by one, the spirits step down from the House of the Dead on the hill, and the hallowed ones join her sacred circle around the crackling blaze. Wisdom survives generations through rituals, and those who keep The Old Ways may yet hear the whispered counsel of souls long departed.
